Jeff qualified as a chartered accountant in 1987 whilst training with one of the top ten firms in the UK. In 1999 he was a founding partner in the successful firm Connor Warin Chartered Accountants. In 2010 Jeff bought out the charity side of this firm so that he could specialise in charities and the not for profit sector. Jeff also supports around 20 other firms of accountants and is a tax mentor to these firms. He speaks widely on charities, business practice and taxation.
In his spare time Jeff is actively involved in his local church. He is a keen and very good (even if he will not admit it) musician. In winter he just loves to ski with his family and does a very good impression of Eddie the Eagle.
Luisa qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005 and was also awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 2009. She has 15 years of experience advising charities, businesses and individuals involved with the charitable sector. Luisa also has considerable experience with tax and is the in house expert on charity SORPs , reporting and recent legislation. She is also our “go to” person for Sage!
In her spare time, Luisa is actively involved with her local church and also loves reading, gardening and just generally spending time with friends and family.
…….Ok and now the truth about both partners…….they both watch the TV quite a lot and enjoy the odd glass of wine!!
Chris is a trainee accountant who joined us from a popular high street bank. He is AAT level 3 qualified and is training hard to get the rest of his qualifications whilst working along side Jeff and Luisa. He makes a good cup of coffee and has recently graduated to “reasonable” tea making skills after years of practise.
Chris spends his spare time with his wife and two children. He enjoys gaming, snowboarding, reading and loves writing. Under his pseudonym Rek Arathor, has his own website dedicated to his writing which he posts weekly sections of the books he has written.
Mary is our office administrator and is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of documents and information throughout the business. You will hear from Mary when it comes to filing at the Charity Commission and dealing with Annual Returns. Mary also administers credit control and our regular charitable giving through B1G1. With significant experience in the Charitable Sector combined with accounting experience and an eye for detail, Mary brings real strength to our team. When not keeping the office running smoothly Mary is involved with her church, loves the outdoors and being with her family.
Debit joined the team in June 2015. His primary focus is preventing the team from asking for an office dog. He enjoys sitting on the windowsill looking out the window and occasionally chases the cat from the office down the hall (Credit), if any biscuits or cake go missing it is normally Debit who ate them. He’s a good boy!
